Now the official confirmation is out that Surya will be part of the Tamil verison of 3 Idiots. Surya has been signed up to play the important role essayed by Aamir Khan in the Hindi version. The movie also stars Jeeva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj and Ileana. Director Shankar is directing this Tamil version.
The role of Chatur played by actor Omi Vaidya, will be played by himself in the Tamil version too. The shooting of this remake version will start on 25th January in Ooty and will later shift to Dehradun. Surya, who is shooting for 7aam Arivu until the end of February, will be joining the crew by March and until then scenes involving the other actors will be canned.

Shankar is said to be giving finishing touches to the script. The probable titles for the movie are Moovar or 3 Rascals.
